CHIMING IN THE HOUR
WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
PRAYER OF APPROACH
Almighty God we gather here this morning to worship and praise
you and to hear your word. We ask your spirit be with us to open
our minds and our hearts so that we worship and live with
righteousness and that we learn the truth that is your justice.
Amen
CALL TO WORSHIP FROM PSALM 103
One: Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me,
bless his holy name.
All: Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and do not forget all his benefits
One: who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
All: who redeems your life from the Pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
One: who satisfies you with good as long as you live
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
All: The Lord works vindication
and justice for all who are oppressed.
Hymn # 138 “Holy, Holy, Holy”
CALL TO CONFESSION
Nothing can be hidden from the Lord. Trusting the grace
promised to us in Jesus Christ, let us confess our sins of
commission and omission before God.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION (Unison)
Almighty God we confess the things we have failed to do as
well as things we have done. We don’t always love you with
our whole hearts and we don’t always love our neighbors.
We fail to obey your commandments with an obedient
attitude. We trust more in the dictates of those in authority
rather than in your real and ultimate authority. Forgive us we
pray and free us from worldly bondage so we may lead lives
pleasing to you. Amen

CALL FOR OFFERING
Giving is not a duty but a privilege. This perspective transforms
the act of giving from a burden to a joyous expression of faith.
It's an opportunity to be a part of something greater than oneself,
to contribute to the welfare of the community and the world, and
to participate in divine work.
